Hundreds of businesses set to benefit from temporary rate relief
More than 300 businesses in Telford and Wrekin are set to benefit from a new - but temporary - business rates relief scheme.
Telford & Wrekin Council is to receive £685,000 as part of its share in a national pot to be distributed to local businesses over the next four financial years.
Businesses with a rateable value of more than £15,000 and less than £200,000 are eligible to receive funding through the scheme.
It is front loaded funding from the government, meaning that the council will get £400,000 in the first year...
