Manufacturers seeing decade-high order books despite output easing

Manufacturing firms are seeing both their total and export order books strengthen – with decade-high performances being seen despite a slowing it overall output growth. The CBI’s latest Industrial Trends Survey collated the responses of 464 manufacturers around the UK. The data showed total order books climbing in June to their highest level since August 1988.
