West Midlands exports rise by almost a quarter

The value of goods exported by companies in the West Midlands rose by almost a quarter in the first three months of 2017 compared with the same period last year. New figures from HMRC show that in the three months to the end of March, exports from West Midlands-based companies reached £7.9bn, up from £6.4bn in the same period last year, a rise of 23%.
