Birmingham City Council approves interim chief executive appointment

The appointment of Stella Manzie as interim chief executive of Birmingham City Council has been approved at a full council meeting. She was previously chief executive of Coventry City Council and Barking and Dagenham Council, and was until last year commissioner managing director of Rotherham Council. Her temporary appointment is to fill the gap left by former chief executive Mark Rogers, and is one of several additions to the council's leadership team.
