ELECTRICAL cable firm Volex has appointed Andrew Cherry as group finance director.

Mr Cherry, 41, a former chief financial controller at Vodafone UK and chief financial officer at Spin Vox, joined Warrington-based Volex as interim finance director in January.

Mike McTighe, chairman of Volex, said: "We are delighted that Andrew has accepted the full time appointment of group finance director. Although he has only been with Volex for a short period of time, his enthusiasm and drive have been evident.
