World Cup success for sports surface specialist

Sports surface specialist SIS Pitches, which has a manufacturing base at Maryport in Cumbria, has landed contracts to complete work on three more of the 12 stadiums to be used at next year's World Cup in Russia.

The firm, which had already landed a deal for the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow, where the opening match and final of the 2018 World Cup will be played, will now work on three more stadia, as turnover at the firm rises past £50m.
