Mike Ashley ‘loses right arm’ on day of drama for Sports Direct

MIKE Ashley has strengthened his grip on Sports Direct after it was revealed that Dave Forsey, the chief executive of Shirebrook-based firm has resigned.

The Board has appointed Mike Ashley as chief executive with immediate effect.  Ashley will continue to be supported by the existing executive management team, and Dave Forsey has agreed to facilitate a smooth handover of his responsibilities.
