SRA shuts down Stirling Law

A MANCHESTER law firm has been shut down by the Solicitors Regulation Authority on suspicion of dishonesty.

The SRA said it had acted against Stirling Law, based in Duke Street, just before Christmas because there was, "reason to suspect dishonesty on the part of a manager or employee of a recognised body in connection with that body's business".

It added that the firm had failed to comply with the rules set out in section 9 of the Administration of Justice Act 1985.
