Liverpool out to host 2022 World Gymnastics Championships
Liverpool is set to bid to host the 2022 World Gymnastics Championships.
Its city council cabinet is to endorse today (Friday, December 15) British Gymnastics and UK Sport’s bid to the Federation of International Gymnastics.
If successful it would bring together 700 gymnasts from more than 80 nations for 10 days, generating an estimated 15,000 bed nights in the city and a £6m boost to the local economy.
