Global law firm announces new chairman

Global law firm DWF has unveiled Sir Nigel Knowles as its new chairman, replacing Alan Benzie who has carried out the role for 10 years. Knowles retired from DLA Piper as a partner at the end of June 2016 after nearly 40 years at the firm. He is credited with spearheading the rapid globalisation of the firm into one of the world's largest global legal businesses. He received a knighthood in 2009 for services to the legal industry and is one of only a few people to receive this honour. Knowles said: "DWF's approach is exciting...
