Ironman UK event staying in Bolton until 2022
Bolton will continue to host the Ironman UK triathlon until 2022.
Bolton Council leader Cllr Cliff Morris, has approved the extension of an agreement which will secure the triathlon and the world’s largest Ironkids race for a further five years.
The announcement comes following the weekend’s 2017 event which saw more than 2000 athletes completing the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run finishing in the Bolton town centre.
