Stephen Felstead – Partner, property
Stephen is a partner in the Eversheds LLP Real Estate practice and Head of the Real Estate Investment team in our Leeds office.
Stephen specialises in real estate investment and development. He has a wealth of experience in high value and complex transactions and acts for a range of institutional investors, pension funds, property companies and developers in relation to sales, acquisitions, developments, forward purchases, forward sales, sale and leasebacks and lettings.
Examples include:
acting for an institutional investor in relation to the structuring, SDLT streamlining and seeding of 34 properties into the UK’s first non-UCITS property trust;
acting for a UK based REIT in relation to the £70 million acquisition of a portfolio of shopping centres including the real estate aspects of the equity fund raising and debt finance;
acting for an Administrator in relation to the £90 million sale of a major regional shopping centre;
acting for a major UK developer in relation to the development and pre-letting of a regional leisure scheme including the negotiation of complex development agreement and rent sharing headlease with the local authority land owner;
client service manager in relation to a real estate portfolio for an institutional investor worth in excess of £2 billion.
Stephen also has extensive experience of every aspect of investment portfolio work including day to day property management (including shopping centre management) and advises his clients on all aspects of commercial landlord and tenant law.
He is noted in the Legal 500 as being “highly recommended” in both the Leeds and London markets.
