Simon is managing director and co-owner of We Are Boutique. Formed in 2010 but born in 1985, Boutique has evolved from a traditional media agency to a full service communications agency with core disciplines in media, digital and public relations.
Dubbed the ‘better strategy and implementation agency’ Simon leads the strategic direction for new and existing clients. In rare contrast to the ‘big boy’ agencies in the media world, Boutique revels in its independence. Director involvement is not limited to the pitch process, but instead regular senior input is guaranteed on every client account.
Striving for greatness, not bigness, Simon hand picks every member of the team to ensure a perfect cultural fit. He refers to them as a team of champions, and they thrive on social capacity – they laugh, drink, play games and celebrate together.
Simon joined the business back in 2001 after spending two years in the marketing team at an online sportsbook operation. He subsequently worked in the business until becoming a major shareholder in 2010.
Outside of work Simon is a complete fitness fanatic who regularly takes part in the kind of sporting events the rest of us enjoy from the sofa. A keen runner, he competes in local triathlons (often alongside his equally athletic wife Caroline), and when he’s not running on the track he’s running around after his four sons.
