Work commences on £5.7m new homes development in South Yorkshire
Construction works are now underway at a £5.7m housing development in Barnsley, with the breaking of the first ground off Catherine’s Walk in Athersley South.
Once completed in Autumn 2019, the scheme will provide 54 affordable homes comprising 40 houses, eight apartments and six bungalows. Five of the homes will be available for shared ownership and the remainder for rent.
Leeds & Yorkshire Housing Association (LYHA) will deliver the scheme, which is set to be part funded by a £2m Homes England grant. Construction com...
