Council loan will help bring landmark building back to life

A landmark building in Huddersfield town centre is being brought back to life with help from Kirklees Council. Cabinet members have agreed to fund a loan which will support the redevelopment of the former Co-operative building in a prominent position on New Street. Money will be loaned to locally-based SKA Property and will come from the Property Investment Fund, which was set up so that the council can support redevelopment projects.
