£1.4m new premises for builders merchants
A Huddersfield builders merchant has launched a new store which is four times the size of its previous premises.
JTD Building Supplies has opened the two-acre site, which features a newly built 11,000 sq ft shed and outdoor yard, to sell goods to trade customers, DIY enthusiasts and construction firms; after securing a £765,000 finance package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.
To support the expansion, the builders merchant has hired five more staff and has plans to create two more jobs by the end of the year.
