Steak restaurant chain Cau is the latest business to fall foul of the unforgiving trading conditions on the high street. According to reports the Argentine restaurant group Gaucho is considering closing its 22 Cau steakhouses with the loss of 700 jobs as part of a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA). The chain has a branch in Victoria Gate, Leeds. Advisory firm KPMG has been called in to look at various option for the future of the brand which was launched in 2010.
