Leeds sees biggest increase in UK in peak time train overcrowding

Leeds saw the biggest growth in morning peak time overcrowding last year, with one of the major Leeds routes named in the top 10 most crowded in the country. The Department for Transport has released figures today revealing the most crowded train services in England and Wales. Leeds showed the biggest increase of any of the top 10 UK cities in the peak morning period, with arrivals increasing 7.8% on 2015 to and average of 28,542.
