The Staffordshire and West Midlands region of the FSB covers Staffordshire, Birmingham and the Black Country.  Across the region we work with 15 Local Authorities, three Local Enterprise Partnerships and 36 MPs as well as other key partners and decision makers on issues of importance to our members and other small businesses.  The region is made up of four branches; Birmingham, Black Country, North Staffordshire and Burton, Lichfield & Tamworth.  Each branch holds regular monthly meetings which are open to members and non-members and which provide an excellent opportunity to network with other small business owners.  The events are accompanied by a keynote speaker on issues important to running a small business and are listed on our regional page of the FSB website: www.fsb.org.uk/regions/Staffs-West-Midlands. We have just over 6,500 members across the region and, with over 300 categories of businesses in our database, are well aware of the diverse nature of their business needs.  We hold a Local Authority and Local Enterprise awards each year which enables us to fully celebrate and share with our members and other small businesses the work which goes on behind the scenes to create and nurture an environment which enables small businesses to survive and thrive.  The work we do with our MPs enables us to ensure our members concerns are aired with the very individuals elected to represent them in Central Government.  We have an excellent relationship with the press across the patch and we, as well as our members, are regularly called upon to take part in radio, television and written press interviews on a whole host of issues pertinent to small businesses.
