Autumn Statement: Manufacturers welcome pledges to support engine of growth

SUPPORT by Chancellor George Osborne for the manufacturing sector as the UK’s engine of growth has been welcomed by industry representatives in the West Midlands.

Mr Osborne said in his Autumn Statement that the UK manufacturing sector was growing at a faster rate than any other – and by more than any other advanced economy.
