The Legal 500 – West Midlands heavyweights weather the storm

THE recession may have challenged the established order of many things in the West Midlands but in the legal sector the region’s heavyweights have remained intact – if a little battered and bruised along the way.

According to sector bible The Legal 500, many firms were hit by the decline in activity in the property sector and while there were a number of high-profile transactions, the year was characterised by smaller deals, partly dictated by banks adopting a more cautious approach to lending.
