Social Housing: Housing associations warned over financial reporting changes

HOUSING associations are in for a shock if they are not up to speed on financial reporting changes, an expert has warned.

Glen Jones, the partner who heads the national social housing team at accountancy and advisory firm Mazars, said the time frame is deceptive - while the cut off is more than two years away, action is required now if deadlines sre to be met.

“It may seem like a mirage but in fact it is all very real,” he said.
