Region’s employment growth outpaces rest of England

Employment in the West Midlands has grown faster than anywhere else in England over the past 12 months, with more than 75,000 jobs created in the region between June 2017 and June 2018. According to new regional labour market figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), there was a 2.1% rise in employment year-on-year in the region, using comparison figures from May 2017 to July 2017 and May 2018 to July 2018.
