Four former Carillion-owned hotels acquired in undisclosed deal

A hotel owner has strengthened its portfolio with the acquisition of four properties previously owned by collapsed construction group, Carillion. The four Ibis Styles hotels have all been taken over by Beaconsfield-based Starboard Hotels. The properties had been marketed over a year ago for offers in excess of £30m but were purchased by Starboard for an undisclosed sum. The hotels, which will remain as Ibis Styles and be operated by Starboard under franchise from Accor, are located Barnsley, Birmingham NEC, Crewe and Haydock...
