People agenda prioritised, says study

CHIEF executives in the West Midlands see value in prioritising people management through change, according to a study by PricewaterhouseCoopers.  

Despite the recession restricting investment in training, many business leaders were now seeing the development of staff skills as a means of accelerating growth, said the study.

Based on in-depth interviews with around 70 chief executives, the survey highlighted some areas of weakness in terms of the way workers were managed during the recession.
