LG to make new TV with Nanoco material

LG Electronics' new high definition TV range will be the first commercial products to be made with a pioneering material produced by Manchester technology company Nanoco.

Nanoco has been leading the way in the production of quantum dots - tiny fluorescent particles of semiconductor material which have the ability to emit light - which are in demand by the makers of electronic goods because they consume less power than existing systems, and are free of heavy metals such as cadmium.
