M&S to close North West distribution centre with loss of 450 jobs

High street giant Marks and Spencer has confirmed it is closing a distribution centre in Warrington with the loss of 450 jobs. The news is the second major blow for the region in the space of less than a week. Last week it was announced that Shop Direct is closing two warehouses in Oldham and another in Salford with the loss of 2,000 jobs.
