Leicester firm launches luxury dog bed

Leicester-based outdoor playground specialist Red Monkey is branching out into the home market with new concept, Red Monkey Home.

The first product to be announced is a high quality wooden dog bed made from timber. The bed can be used indoors or outdoors and features a chalkboard dog bone for name personalisation. The purchaser can also choose, for an additional cost, to have a personal name plate created.

Established in 2012 Red Monkey have predominately traded in the education sector providing bespoke playground equipment for primary school and nursery children. Red Monkey design, manufacture and install all equipment, which is made by hand in their Wigston Head office, in Leicester.

Simon Winfield, managing director at Red Monkey, said: “Imagination is at the heart of everything we do at Red Monkey, and we are delighted that we are expanding into the home industry with our brand-new concept, Red Monkey Home.

“Although we are specialist outdoor playground manufactures we have decided to expand our range which now includes bespoke dog beds. The beds are crafted using pre-treated and high-quality, low-maintenance timber from sustainable sources. The beautiful dog beds would make the perfect Christmas gift for a pampered pooch.”
